Special Holiday Edition Happy Holidays from the Fifth Town Team
We would like to take a brief moment of your time to wish you and your loved ones the best for the festive season and to thank you for all your support in our first 6 month of operations. We very much appreciate your interest, patronage and willingness to give a small fledgling new dairy a try. As small token of our appreciation thought we would share this simple but tasty holiday recipe developed by our in-house sommelier and chef, Andrew Laliberte (featuring cheese of course!).
Enjoy! And see you in 2009!
Festive Chevre Logs
* 4 Chevre Logs (Ash or Nude)
* 125 grams of Hazelnutes
* 100 grams of Green Marachino Cherries
* 85 grams of Dried Cranberries
1. Bring the logs up to a warm room temperature
2. Finely chop the nuts, cherries and cranberries in a food processor separately. Nuts first, cranberries second, and the cherries last. Mix together in a bowl.
3. Roll the logs in the fruit and nut mixture, covering them liberally
4. Wrap the logs in parchment squares and reserve until ready for use (at least 1 hour)
5. Remove parchment and warm in 250F oven for five or ten minutes and serve warm.
Wine Pairing Suggestion: Prince Edward County VQA Reisling

Most pictures of us are in our dairy whites and hair nets, but we thought we would show you all that can also "clean up good"!
WHAT'S COMING IN 2009?
We will be officially releasing our mixed milk cave aged "Fellowship" cheese in January! It is a mixed milk version of the award winning Wishing Tree so watch for it! It is a seasonal cheese made by
mixing goat and sheep milk together to make the cheese. Supplies are limited.
Also, we will be launching our new website in Febuary which will feature comprehensive product listings, descriptions, pairing suggestions and more. Stay tuned.
Please note our retail store on site will be closed Jan-Feb. We will re-open for Maplefest in March. If you are looking for Fifth Town cheese, please check our website for store listings.
