FIfth Town Takes Grand Champion Award At the Royal Winter Fair

Customers tell us we make great cheese. But what do the experts say? We found out this weekend when Cape Vessey, our interior-ripened, washed rind goat milk cheese was crowned Grand Champion of the fair in the goat cheese category with a score of over 95%. And wait. There is more to tell! Petal Luna , a hard, County calendula-laced cheese, won 1st prize in the hard goat cheese category. Our newest cheese, Lighthall Tomme won 1st prize in the firm goat cheese category. And finally, Wishing Tree won a first in the Sheep Cheese Variety category. Needless to say, we are very pleased and extremely proud of our cheese making team including Stephanie Diamant, Todd Burley, John McKinnon, and our summer Intern, Shawna Wicks for their role in making these cheeses literally shine.

Where Can I Buy The Cheese?
If you are interested in purchasing any of these cheeses, you can stop by our booth at the Royal Winter Fair this week (The RWF runs until November 16th at Exhibition Place in Toronto. Visit www.royalfair.org for more details) or stop into any fine cheese shop in your area and ask for Fifth Town.
