2: FOR THE CHEESE LOVING POETRY OR CANADIAN AGRICULTURAL HISTORY BUFF!

Oh! Queen of Cheese was originally published in 1979 by Cherry Tree Press. It is an anthology of cheese poems by James McIntyre. The book is now distributed exclusively by Fifth Town Productions.
More about the Book:
If you are a cheese lover and cherish the eccentricities of rural life, you will love a book of cheese poems! Especially an anthology of cheese poems by James McIntyre.
Originally from Scotland, James McIntyre, 1827-1906, settled in Ontario at the age of 14. He is said to be, with great affection, Canada’s worst poet.
He created poetry on a wide variety of topics related to rural life. However, a substantial portion of his work is devoted to cheese and every aspect of its making. One might think that due to his comprehensive work on cheese related poetry that he might in fact have even been a cheese maker! But not so! He was a furniture manufacturer, retailer and undertaker! Many would say his inspiration for cheese poetry was the fact that he lived in Ingersoll, Ontario. Ingersoll is a small town in the heart of the diary and cheese making region of Ontario. His poetry is considered truly dreadful—so dreadful that it makes us laugh!
No cheese tasting or food related gathering is complete with out a recital from this fabulous and quirky book of poems!
