FT To Open Cheese Outlet at Huff Estates Winery
Cheese and wine are soul mates. So it made sense for FT to open a small retail outlet at Huff’s Estates Winery. The new retail outlet will be open Wednesday, May 19 and from then on, 7 days a week from 10-6pm.
The new kiosk will sell select varieties of Fifth Town cheese to Huff tasting room and patio patrons. According to Petra Cooper, owner/President, “This will make it more convenient for people who don’t have time to drive out to North Marysburgh, Picton or Wellington to buy some Fifth Town cheeses to go with their Huff Estates wines.”

Huff Estates is committed to producing wines that will express the finest in terroir from Prince Edward County. With two separate vineyards plantings in South Bay and Hallowell, our goal is to produce wines that capture the essence of the soils and mesoclimates of this unique region of Ontario, Canada.
Prince Edward County is evolving as one of the world’s newest fine wine regions. Though there is a rich agricultural history here, interest in planting grapes to produce fine wines has only developed in the past few years.
In January 2003 there were less than 400 acres of vines planted; by the end of the decade we expect there will be over 1000. Our acreage is now close to 40.
