Join us for our celebration of regional cuisine, our annual one-day wine and culinary event featuring regional chefs, gifted growers, wonderful winemakers and the best beers, cider and cuisine Prince Edward County has to offer!
FT will be at the TASTE pavillion offering a dessert cheese plate including a pumpkin chevre cheese cake tart, wedge of recent American Cheese Society award winner Bonnie & Floyd, and a chunk of our County Goat Cheddar (made with 100% local milk).
In addition, we will also be offering two seminars:

HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE CHEESES IN YOUR DOWNTOWN CONDO!
Located in the Cooking Demonstration Building
Join The Fifth Town cheese making team (Stephanie, Laura and Petra) and learn about the art of cheese making. In particular, in this session the team will demonstrate how to make Chevre or low fat cream cheese at home using store bought milk. During this session you will learn about the steps involved in making simple cheeses, how to choose cultures and rennet. Participants will receive small cheese making starter kit including rennet tablet and culture pack plus instructions on how to make cheese at home compliments of the Fifth Town Artisan Cheese Dairy
CRAFT BEER AND CHEESE TASTING – An exploration of craft beers with handmade Eastern Ontario cheeses.
3:30pm (SATURDAY)
Located in the Cooking Demonstration Building
Taste some of Eastern Ontario’s finest cheeses with sommelier and cheese professional Andrew Laliberte matched to small batch craft beers. The tasting will show how the various flavours of beer and cheese complement each other to create superior tasting experiences. Explore how elements such as acidity, salt and alcohol work with lactic and malt flavours to excite the taste buds and bring out the best flavours in beer and cheese.
