British Empire Cheese Competition & NEW Winner’s Circle Festival
This is the oldest cheese competition in Canada (In its 81st year). And this year, the event will feature a Winner’s Circle Cheese & Wine Reception which will be open to the public for the first time. Hold the date: Dec 4th and read on for details.
The event will be held at the Belleville Club from 6-9pm in Belleville, Ontario. The industry conference related to this event will be held from 9-4pm. The Winner’s Circle Reception which follows will allow Chefs, foodies and the cheese enthusiast public to taste all entries plus the winning cheeses along with fabulous Prince Edward County wines. This year, celebrity chef and local foods movement leader, Jamie Kennedy will also participate as a judge in the competition. Reception goers will also be able to participate in the annual Winner Cheese Auction where blocks of the winning cheeses will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.
