Saturday, June 27th marks Fifth Town’s first year of cheese making in North Marsyburgh, one of Prince Edward County’s original Loyalist townships!
Fifth Town wins Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence!
Fifth Town is delighted to announce that we have won the 2009 Premier’s Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence. More details will be coming soon, but we believe that the award was given in large part because of our “green” philosophy and our support for local small-scale farming. Maplefest in the County!
Come and join us on Saturday, March 28th and Sunday, March 29th and sample “Chevre Chaud” or hot maple/chocolate goat milk and our Maple Chevre.
New Prince Edward County Goat Cheddar!
Veteran cheddar makers Black River Cheese Company and newcomers Fifth Town Artisan Cheese have combined their strengths to make a unique collaborative cheese: “Premium Goat Milk Cheddar”. The mild, tasty Goat’s milk cheddar (and on the days when it’s made—curds!) are available from both dairy’s retail store.
Fifth Town at the British Empire Cheese Show
Fifth Town scooped up a load of prizes at the venerable British Empire Cheese Show held in Belleville on December 4th.
FT’s Cape Vessey Wins Grand Champion at RWF!
Cape Vessey, a semi-firm washed rind goat milk cheese, was crowned Grand Champion of goat cheeses at at this year’s Royal Winter Fair.
